“Regarding content on online platforms that allegedly infringes on Ms. Bai Lu’s (real name: Bai Mengyan) legitimate rights and interests, we will continue collecting evidence across the internet and pursue legal responsibility through legal channels for acts such as spreading false information and defamation,” Bai Lu Studio wrote.

On June 12, 2026, Bai Lu Studio released a statement addressing what it called six major rumors circulating online.
The studio denied claims including:

- that Bai Lu’s application for the third-level professional actor title violated regulations;
- that Bai Lu had a romantic relationship with Wang Hongjun;

- that Bai Lu had an inappropriate personal relationship with individuals connected to Jiangsu Wen Investment.
On the same day, Bai Lu Studio announced that it had begun legal proceedings over the alleged defamatory content. The studio said it had submitted lawsuit materials against nine internet users and collected evidence from 61 accounts suspected of spreading problematic content across platforms including Weibo, Douyin, and Douban.
