The main ending delivered a heartbreaking conclusion as Murong Qingyi, played by Zhang Linghe, was killed in battle. Ren Susu, portrayed by Wang Churan, was left devastated after receiving his final letter and learning of his death.

During the journey, Ren Susu jokingly asks, “Why are you holding my hand so tightly? Are you afraid I’ll get lost again?”
Murong Qingyi replies, “Why did you say ‘again’?”
She answers, “Maybe we’ve really lost each other before.”
He then promises, “It’s okay. Even if we lose each other this second, I’ll find you the next.”
The two exchange warm smiles before sharing a kiss on the train, a scene that has become one of the most talked-about moments from the epilogue and many fans’ favorite sequence.
