LayarHijau – Controversy is once again surrounding Pursuit of Jade, starring Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei. After previously being hit by a massive leak that saw all episodes circulating illegally ahead of schedule, the official release is now facing backlash from viewers.

Many viewers who chose to support the official broadcast by avoiding pirated versions were left disappointed when the final episode aired. They discovered that one of the most talked-about scenes—the post-wedding night moment between Xie Zheng and Fan Changyu—had been censored in the official cut.

In the earlier leaked version, the scene featured more intimate details, including Xie Zheng emerging from under the blanket, leaning over Fan Changyu’s back, and kissing her earlobe while delivering a husky line in a low voice. However, in the official release, these moments were completely removed. What remains is only a brief shot of the couple embracing, stripped of the emotional and physical details that once made the scene stand out.

The decision quickly sparked strong reactions online. Many viewers criticized the cut, arguing that it unfairly penalizes those who waited for the official version. Some even claimed that such edits indirectly “push” audiences toward watching leaked content just to experience the full story.

Amid the controversy, another topic has also gained attention—favorite kissing scenes between the two leads. Interestingly, both Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei picked the same one: the “chenpi candy kiss.”

Tian Xiwei shared that the scene felt special because it captured the fluttering emotions of young love. Set in a confined space, it created a mix of nervousness and excitement that made the moment feel more intimate and genuine. In contrast, other kissing scenes were filmed in more open settings, making this one stand out.

The drama’s director also revealed that the two actors required little to no guidance when filming romantic scenes. In fact, one of the first scenes they shot together was the now-viral “window-breaking kiss.” It was initially meant as a test, but the result exceeded expectations without much adjustment, with the director expressing clear satisfaction with their chemistry.

Now, as debates over censorship and broadcast versions continue, many viewers are calling for an uncut version to be officially released. For them, emotional storytelling is not built on dialogue alone, but also on the subtle details that, in this case, have been noticeably removed.
