Youku International Has Yet to Release the Special Episode
The special episode has not yet been released on Youku’s international platform. It is also not known whether the one-hour episode will eventually be made available to viewers outside China.
Youku has not provided any information about a possible international release of the special version. International viewers will therefore have to wait for an official update from the platform.
Jing Boran Teases Luke’s Next Activity
In addition to the special episode, Jing Boran also updated his social media on September 19. His comment section was filled with reactions from fans, including some who complained that he had shared too few photos.
Some fans also asked Jing Boran about his plans for the weekend. He said he would take Saturday off, but on Sunday, Luke would be “working overtime to do something meaningful.”
Jing Boran also said that he needed to stay disciplined that day because he would be “working overtime” the following day. His comments left fans curious about what Luke would be doing and what might come next for the character.
Meanwhile, The Early Spring continues to be discussed following its finale, including because of the intimate scenes involving Jing Boran and Sun Qian. The intimacy coordinator involved in the production revealed in an interview that the scenes did not use the “借位” (jièwèi) filming technique, in which camera angles make actors appear to be physically touching when they are not.
The coordinator said that all physical contact shown in the scenes was performed directly by the actors. The revelation has once again drawn attention from fans following the chemistry between Jing Boran and Sun Qian as Luke and Shang Zhitao.
