The actor revealed that he once had a private social media account where he uploaded photos of expensive or nice things he wanted to show off.

Ji Chang Wook said he had once created a private account that only he could see. Explaining why he created it, he said, “Sometimes when you buy something expensive or something nice, you want to show it off, right? But it felt a little inappropriate to post things like that on my official account. So I created a private account where I could post the things I wanted to show off.”
He explained that the account was specifically set up so that no one else could see his posts. “For example, when I bought a car, I posted a photo of the car, even a photo of the steering wheel. I also wore a watch, took a photo, and uploaded it to the private account. I felt satisfied doing that,” he said.
However, Ji Chang Wook eventually realized that showing something off loses its purpose if no one else can see it. “After a while, I thought, doesn’t showing off only work when someone sees it? Since no one could see it, I eventually deleted the account,” he said.
The private account was therefore not an alternative account Ji Chang Wook used to secretly interact with fans or other people. It was simply a private space where he could post photos of his car, watch, and other things he wanted to show off before eventually deleting it.
The story came up while Ji Chang Wook, Nana, and Son Ye Jin were promoting The Scandal. Netflix released the drama on September 18, 2026, one day after the web program featuring its three leads was released.
