Dilraba is seen wearing a cap, a black face mask, and a racing-style top, with a phone in her hand. The video sparked two hashtags on Weibo, “Dilraba is using the iPhone Duo” and “Dilraba switches to the iPhone Duo.” One netizen who used the hashtags wrote, “Wow!! Reba’s using the iPhone Duo too! Sis, please send us more pretty selfies with your new phone, okay? 🤳” “Reba” is the fans’ affectionate nickname for Dilraba.
Under the same hashtags, some Weibo users also discussed the items Dilraba wore. The fashion account Fashion Style listed three items with reference prices: a LOGICAT baseball cap at CN¥149 (about $22), a color-block racing-style top from the brand Stand Alone at CN¥3,120 (about $466), and the iPhone Duo at CN¥17,999 (about $2,690). The list has not been confirmed by Dilraba or the brands.
Apple unveiled the iPhone Duo on September 9, 2026. In China, preorders opened on October 16 and official sales began on October 23, 2026. The 256GB model starts at CN¥15,999 (about $2,390), followed by the 512GB model at CN¥17,999, the 1TB model at CN¥21,499 (about $3,210), and the top-end 2TB model at CN¥26,499 (about $3,960).
Strong demand sold out the preorder stock quickly. On launch day, buyers in mainland China could only purchase online through preorders because Apple did not offer walk-in sales at its stores. Delivery estimates have since slipped to late January 2027.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Duo has drawn complaints over cracked screens. According to Bloomberg, a number of buyers have reported that the phone’s inner display cracked just hours or days after they started using it. The cracks appear along the center fold and are often preceded by a cracking sound when the phone is opened.
Apple told The Wall Street Journal that it is aware of an issue affecting the inner display on a small number of units, and asked affected customers to contact AppleCare for a replacement. Apple did not say how many units are affected and stressed that it is not recalling the product.
