LayarHijau — Costumes worn by the cast of the drama Where the Mask Ends (嫁金钗) have reportedly been put up for auction on a secondhand marketplace. Fans of the drama discovered that Youku, the Chinese streaming platform that carries the series, is auctioning clothing the actors wore on screen. Prices are said to run about 30,000 to 40,000 yuan (about $4,300 to $5,800) per piece.
Screenshots of the auction page circulating on Weibo show that the production side listed very detailed information. Each costume comes with the episode in which it appears, the exact minute and second of the scene, and the character who wore it. The lowest price in the screenshots starts at 30,000 yuan.

Chinese netizens responded to the news with jokes. “Can’t afford it. The film and TV industry is in a slump and the platforms are so broke they’re selling costumes,” one netizen wrote. Another wrote, “They even cut the main episodes into bonus content and sell it, so what’s surprising about selling these?” The comments suggest some viewers are not surprised by the production side’s move.
Where the Mask Ends stars Tian Xiwei, who plays two characters in the drama. The actress previously teamed up with Zhang Linghe in Pursuit of Jade (逐玉), a runaway hit. Her role in Where the Mask Ends is said to have lifted her career even higher.
Newcomer Yan An has also gained popularity through the drama. Yan An was born into a family of musicians and is an only child. He has been around music since childhood and plays the erhu (a traditional two-stringed Chinese fiddle) and the piano. He later became a member of the South Korean boy group PENTAGON before moving into acting, and he now appears opposite Tian Xiwei in the drama.
