LayarHijau — The period drama Where the Mask Ends (嫁金钗), starring Tian Xiwei and Yan An, is entering its final weeks on air. According to the official broadcast calendar the drama’s team released on Weibo, the finale will be available early on Youku on Nov. 3. Netflix viewers will not get the finale until Nov. 10.
The drama airs on Youku, a Chinese streaming platform, and on the TV channel CCTV-8, while Netflix streams it simultaneously for viewers outside China. On Oct. 29, the drama’s team announced a program called “Finale Gift” (收官禮), a paid early-access option (pay-per-view on Chinese platforms) that jumps straight to episode 30, the final episode of the online version.

Netflix lags by seven days
Netflix follows Youku’s regular VIP schedule and does not take part in the Finale Gift program. Youku also has no VIP or SVIP updates scheduled for Nov. 4 through 6, leaving a three-day gap. Updates resume on Nov. 7, and episode 30 will not arrive until Nov. 10, seven days after paying Youku viewers can watch the finale.
CCTV-8 schedule
CCTV-8 airs the drama every night at 9:30 p.m. Because it is adapted to the channel’s programming format, the TV version is split into 33 episodes.
