According to the timeline circulating online, Song Weilong was reportedly spotted traveling frequently to Guangdong while Zhang Jingyi was filming there late last year. After filming wrapped in April this year, the two were also said to have arrived in Hangzhou separately and stayed there for around half a month during roughly the same period.
Speculation resurfaced in July when additional paid episodes of Love for You were released. Song Weilong attended an event in Hong Kong and was later rumored to have made a quick trip to Shenzhen. At the time, Zhang Jingyi was filming another project in Shenzhen.
What further fueled the rumors was their travel schedule in early September. Song Weilong and Zhang Jingyi were said to have both taken nearly 10 days off before traveling to Europe separately. Their social media posts, including interactions that fans linked to “520” — a popular Chinese expression associated with saying “I love you” — were also interpreted by some as subtle hints aimed at each other.
Apart from their reportedly overlapping schedules, Song Weilong and Zhang Jingyi’s interactions during the promotion of Love for You have also become a topic of discussion again. Many viewers praised the pair for their natural closeness, from their body language to the way they looked at each other during joint appearances on variety shows.
One moment that drew particular attention was when Song Weilong appeared to unlock Zhang Jingyi’s phone with ease. The incident led netizens to speculate that he already knew his co-star’s phone password. His attentive and affectionate behavior toward Zhang Jingyi during their interactions also prompted some fans to suggest that their relationship appeared closer than that of ordinary co-stars promoting a drama.
However, neither Song Weilong nor Zhang Jingyi’s studio or management team has directly responded to the dating rumors so far.
Meanwhile, some fans have urged the public not to jump to conclusions. Their September trips to Europe reportedly had different destinations and purposes. Zhang Jingyi was in London for Fashion Week activities, while Song Weilong traveled to Milan.
Fans also pointed out that it is common for celebrities to be in the same city or region because of filming schedules, events, and promotional activities. Without photos or other evidence showing Song Weilong and Zhang Jingyi together in private, the dating rumors remain unconfirmed.
