LayarHijau– The Chinese entertainment industry is once again buzzing with casting discussions. The upcoming drama project Revenge, rumored to pair Zhang Linghe and Lu Yuxiao as the lead actors, has become the center of attention after Zhang Linghe’s official fan club released a formal statement on Weibo regarding the issue.
In the statement, the fandom expressed disappointment, noting that Zhang Linghe’s studio has yet to provide a positive response to their concerns regarding the actor’s future projects. They firmly oppose Lu Yuxiao, who is reportedly under the same management company, becoming Zhang Linghe’s co-star in any production.

Specific Reasons for the Rejection
The rejection is based on specific reasons detailed in the statement. The fandom pointed to the history of past collaborations and the public discourse surrounding them. They noted that Lu Yuxiao and her team have been involved in various controversies over a long period, which they believe have harmed Zhang Linghe’s career interests and affected the fans’ perception.
Additionally, the fandom questioned Lu Yuxiao’s overall reputation. The statement highlighted that her public image, market response, and suitability for the role do not currently meet the audience’s expectations for a high-quality production.
Demands to the Production Companies and Agency
The statement also directed specific demands at the production companies and the management agency. The fandom urged Linmon Pictures to uphold its principles in casting, maintain a stable and fair creative environment, and firmly reject any forced casting additions that could cause unnecessary public controversy and affect the drama’s overall quality.
They also called on StarTimes Media to stop sacrificing Zhang Linghe’s career to secure resources for their female actress. The fandom warned that this approach would place Zhang Linghe in a highly controversial environment, ultimately diminishing the market value and reputation he has built over the years.
Furthermore, the fandom urged Zhang Linghe’s studio to immediately reject the collaboration, prioritize the actor’s long-term career planning, and respect the trust of both the fans and the general audience.
About the Drama ‘Revenge’ and Production Strategy
Amidst the casting controversy, Revenge remains a highly anticipated project. Centered around themes of revenge and emotional conflict, the drama promises intense narrative dynamics and strong character development. It will be directed by Yi Jun, who has also signed a priority contract with StarTimes.
Regarding the production strategy, StarTimes is reportedly planning to cast Lu Yuxiao as the female lead in two Linmon Pictures projects simultaneously: Revenge and Light Through the Eternal Storm. This move demonstrates the production team’s strong confidence in the actress’s ability to lead large-scale projects.
As of this publication, neither Zhang Linghe’s studio, Linmon Pictures, nor StarTimes Media has issued an official clarification regarding the fandom’s demands.
