LayarHijau – Zhao Lusi successfully held her “Stay Romantic” concert in Bangkok on May 9, 2026, attracting massive attention from both Thai and Chinese fans. Among the audience members was Thai action star Tony Jaa, who was spotted quietly attending the concert.

The internationally known martial arts actor was seen sitting in the audience area at IMPACT Arena while recording Zhao Lusi’s performance on his phone. The video was later uploaded to his social media account and quickly became a hot topic among fans in Thailand and China.

In the clip, Tony Jaa appeared noticeably slimmer than before, though he looked excited throughout the performance. He was also seen nodding along to the music while filming the stage.

Many fans were surprised by his appearance at the event, as the actor is rarely seen publicly attending concerts by Chinese artists.

The concert took place at Bangkok’s IMPACT Arena, which can accommodate around 12,000 people. The venue was completely sold out, with no empty seats visible. Purple, Zhao Lusi’s official fandom color, filled the arena and created a sea of lights throughout the night.

The venue has previously hosted major artists such as BLACKPINK and Jay Chou. Zhao Lusi also became the first post-95 Chinese actress to hold a large-scale concert at the arena.

Ticket prices were divided into six categories, ranging from 488 yuan (around US$67) to 1,940 yuan (around US$267). After the concert was officially announced on March 31, reservations quickly surpassed 10,000. When ticket sales opened on April 7, all categories sold out within a short period of time.

Zhao Lusi’s stage appearance also attracted significant attention online. For the opening performance, she wore a pink velvet top paired with an open jacket and loose patchwork jeans. The outfit quickly went viral across social media platforms and sparked divided reactions among netizens.

Some praised her transformation from a sweet image to a bolder and more mature style, while others said they barely recognized the actress they were used to seeing in dramas.

During the concert, Zhao Lusi also performed the Thai song “เจอกับตัวเอง…ถึงรู้” by Thai singer Sara Nussara Pungprasert. The pop ballad was originally released in 2001 as part of the album Girl Friend. The title roughly translates to “You Only Understand After Experiencing It Yourself.”

To prepare for the performance, Zhao Lusi reportedly began studying Thai two months in advance. While singing the song, she appeared in a sparkling silver Dai-style traditional skirt, drawing loud cheers from Thai fans.

One of the most talked-about segments of the concert was the Sichuan face-changing performance, also known as bian lian. The atmosphere shifted dramatically as professional performers appeared on stage wearing red, gold, and blue masks that changed rapidly during the act.

The fire-breathing performance especially stunned the audience, with many Thai fans audibly reacting in excitement. It marked the first time Zhao Lusi had incorporated the traditional Chinese cultural art into a commercial concert of this scale.

During the talk segment, Zhao Lusi explained that she learned Thai and wore traditional clothing because she wanted to express romance to her Thai fans in a more tangible way.

The concert lasted around three and a half hours and featured fully live vocals without lip-syncing. Although Zhao Lusi previously paused activities due to health issues, she reportedly practiced for more than eight hours every day in preparation for the show.

For the performance of “Black Veil Bride,” she wore a red gown embroidered with roses while performing an electronic rock arrangement with a darker atmosphere. During the piano segment, she also played a self-composed song.

The “Stay Romantic” stage was designed by a Grammy-winning creative team under the theme “Thorn Rose.” During “I Hope You Find God,” paper butterflies rained down from the ceiling. Meanwhile, “Champagne Drop” transformed the entire arena into a luxurious party atmosphere with champagne-gold laser effects.

Unlike Xie Na’s Chengdu concert, which featured a surprise appearance by her husband Jason Zhang several days earlier, Zhao Lusi chose to perform alone without any guest stars.

During the encore, Zhao Lusi appeared emotional as she stood in front of the purple ocean of lights from fans. One lyric from the encore song, “The rose does not panic,” was noticed by fans for seemingly referencing the symbol of her personal studio.

Before the concert ended, rose-shaped ribbons printed with global fan IDs slowly descended onto the audience. Many fans carefully picked them up and kept them as souvenirs.

The concert concluded with nearly four minutes of nonstop cheers and applause before Zhao Lusi bowed and left the stage. As the curtains closed, the imagery of Sichuan opera masks and Thai jasmine flowers blended together, leaving one of the night’s most memorable moments.
