LayarHijau – Zhao Lusi’s “Stay Romantic” concert tour in Bangkok on May 9, 2026, became the setting for a touching story involving a special group of fans. Six women from rural Qingchuan in Sichuan Province, China, traveled more than 1,800 kilometers to Thailand to attend the actress and singer’s concert and personally thank her for helping their community.

The trip was organized by Zhao Hailing, an agricultural entrepreneur from Qingchuan whose company focuses on producing, processing, and selling local farm products. According to Zhao Hailing, their connection with Zhao Lusi began in August 2025.
At the time, Zhao Lusi promoted Qingchuan bamboo fungus during a livestream. Although she did not mention any specific brand, the local agricultural product quickly gained public attention. Zhao Hailing revealed that online searches for their products reportedly surged by 1,000 percent after the livestream aired.
“For people like us who work in mountainous farming areas, that kind of attention once felt impossible,” she said.
The promotion even prompted the Qingchuan local government to send an official thank-you letter to Zhao Lusi for helping introduce local agricultural products to a wider audience.

The women who joined the Thailand trip are employees at Zhao Hailing’s factory and also farmers who grow the products themselves. They often saw news about Zhao Lusi online and admired her for being kind-hearted and supportive of ordinary people.
After learning that Zhao Lusi would hold a concert in Thailand in May 2026, Zhao Hailing came up with the idea of bringing the women to see the actress in person as a way of expressing their gratitude.
“Many of them had never been on a plane before and had never traveled abroad in their lives. I wanted to give them a chance to see the world while also supporting Lusi in person,” she explained.
Out of more than 100 female workers at the factory, six women with the best work performance were selected to join the trip.
At first, Zhao Hailing only told them they needed passports for an upcoming activity. It was not until one day before departure that she revealed they would be traveling to Thailand to attend Zhao Lusi’s concert.
The news left the women so excited that they could not sleep all night. In videos shared by Zhao Hailing, one woman proudly said she had become the first person in her village to travel abroad. Another jokingly told her children, “Even you have never taken me overseas.”

Their journey to Bangkok was not easy. The group had to travel by car, high-speed train, airplane, and bus. They also faced a sudden flight cancellation along the way. Despite the difficulties, they eventually arrived at the concert venue on time.

During the concert, Zhao Lusi also brought Sichuan’s traditional face-changing performance, known as bian lian, to the stage. Zhao Hailing said she was touched by how the actress continued using her platform to promote culture and shine a light on things that are often overlooked.
According to Zhao Hailing, the concert also delivered a positive message about being confident and brave enough to be yourself without fear of labels or judgment.
The atmosphere became even more emotional because the concert took place just before Mother’s Day. The women reportedly pinched themselves to make sure the experience was real and kept video calling their families back home to show them the concert.

One of the participants, 62-year-old Aunt Dong, said she was deeply moved to finally see Zhao Lusi in person.
“She feels like a benefactor to us. Thanks to Lusi, agricultural products from Qingchuan became known across the country. We just wanted to see her in person and say thank you,” she said.
Even after the concert ended, their Thailand trip continued. Zhao Hailing planned to take the women sightseeing, including a visit to Pattaya, where some of them would see the ocean for the first time in their lives.
