LayarHijau – Preparations for Season 8 of Divas Hit the Road are drawing attention again, especially after director Li Chao addressed rumors involving Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei.
In a recent interaction on social media, Li Chao responded to questions about whether the two actors would take part in the show. He explained that the production team is still working on bringing them on board, and no final decisions have been made regarding the cast.

Earlier, Li Chao also shared that circulating online lists are “partially accurate.” He confirmed that several actors, including Li Xian, Wang Xingyue, and Song Weilong, are currently in talks with the production team.
Interest in Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei has grown following their collaboration in the drama Pursuit of Jade. The show’s popularity, including its reach among international audiences, has led many viewers to hope the two will appear together again—this time in a travel variety setting.
Season 8 is also undergoing some changes in direction. The original plan to head to Antarctica has been dropped, with the team now opting for a South America route that includes Peru, Mexico, and Argentina. Filming is expected to last around 24 days, focusing more on cultural experiences and local exploration.
This shift reflects the production team’s intention to highlight more natural interactions throughout the journey, rather than relying on manufactured drama. The upcoming season is also seen as an opportunity to improve reception for even-numbered seasons, which have previously received mixed responses.
As of now, the final cast lineup has not been announced. Based on the current timeline, casting is expected to be finalized between April and May, with filming set to begin around July and the show likely to premiere by the end of September.
