In response, Li Qing’s fan club released a clear statement, saying that after verification, the circulating claims were inaccurate. “After confirmation, the related information is not true. The artist is currently single and fully focused on his work,” the statement read.
The rumors initially stemmed from a paparazzi post on April 22, which claimed that a popular couple from Pursuit of Jade had reached a “bad ending” in real life because the male actor was secretly dating another woman. The vague claim sparked widespread speculation among netizens.
Several well-known cast members were initially suspected due to their rising popularity from the drama, before it was eventually clarified that Li Qing was the person involved. The circulated footage showed him meeting friends before heading to a residential area, where he later met a woman with a pet dog. The two appeared familiar with each other and walked the dog together before entering the building later that night.
With the fan club’s clarification, the rumors have now been officially denied, putting an end to the speculation and confirming that Li Qing remains single and focused on his career.
