On the afternoon of April 23, Liu Yuning posted a response addressing the issue. He wrote, “It never ends. Don’t spread rumors.” to deny the dating allegations circulating online.

His statement came as the rumors gained traction again among netizens. Some users revisited old posts from both Liu Yuning and Song Zu’er, pointing out details they believed to be “evidence.”
One of the most discussed points was the similarity in interior details. In a photo previously shared by Song Zu’er in 2018, the flooring of her home was visible. Meanwhile, in a video Liu Yuning shared in a fan group in 2023—featuring his pet dog—netizens claimed the flooring looked similar.
The video was confirmed to be from Liu Yuning and had circulated among fans. In addition to the flooring, other details such as chair legs were also compared and seen by some as further “proof.”
Tracing the issue back, the rumors initially stemmed from the alleged exposure of a secondary account believed to belong to Song Zu’er. Posts from that account were said to be related to Liu Yuning, who had previously worked with her in the drama The Prisoner of Beauty (折腰).
However, Song Zu’er’s side had already denied the claim, stating that the account was not hers and clarifying that their relationship was simply that of close friends.
Other “coincidences” were also widely discussed, including claims that the two visited Sanya around the same time, as well as posts from friends that were later deleted or edited after drawing attention. There were also speculations about a woman resembling Song Zu’er spotted at Liu Yuning’s concert, along with overlapping timelines and locations in their activities.
Despite the ongoing speculation, Liu Yuning has now issued a direct denial. As of now, there has been no further response from Song Zu’er’s side regarding the resurfacing rumors.
