LayarHijau – The death of actor Yu Menglong in September 2025 after falling from a building continues to raise unanswered questions. With several unresolved details, public attention has not faded, and fans have repeatedly called for a clear investigation into what really happened.

Amid ongoing speculation, an audio recording allegedly linked to the incident began circulating widely online. Some netizens claimed that the voice in the recording sounded similar to actor Fan Shiqi, pulling him into the controversy despite the lack of verified evidence supporting the claim.

As the issue escalated, a number of online users went as far as accusing him of being involved. Under mounting pressure, Fan Shiqi once posted an emotional statement on Weibo, saying, “Yes, I killed Yu Menglong, because he deserved to die.” Although the post was quickly deleted, screenshots had already spread, further fueling speculation.

The controversy, which has lasted for more than seven months, has taken a visible toll on his career. Projects involving him reportedly faced backlash, his name was removed from certain lineups, and even concert ticket sales were affected.

On April 23, Fan Shiqi finally took steps to clear his name. Through his studio, he released an official document issued by the police stating that from his birth on March 23, 1992, to April 19, 2026, he has no criminal record.

His studio also issued a firm statement, emphasizing that the rumors and accusations circulating online constitute defamation and legal violations. They declared a zero-tolerance stance and said they would pursue legal action against those spreading false information, with no intention of reaching any form of settlement. They also urged individuals to stop disseminating unverified content or face legal consequences, adding that evidence is currently being collected.

In addition, Fan Shiqi has entrusted a law firm to handle the matter. He stated that he will continue focusing on his work in the entertainment industry and hopes to respond to public attention through his future projects.
