LayarHijau – Chinese actress Song Yiren has once again become a hot topic after rumors circulated on social media claiming that she has “disappeared without a trace.” The issue resurfaced alongside lingering online speculation linking her to the death of actor Yu Menglong, even though no solid evidence or confirmation from authorities or mainstream media has ever supported such claims.
Several posts on TikTok and other social media platforms allege that Song Yiren has stopped appearing in public after previously sharing vacation photos. The narrative then escalated into increasingly extreme speculation, ranging from claims that she is being pursued for massive contract penalties to rumors suggesting she has been deliberately “silenced” for allegedly knowing too much sensitive information. These claims have spread widely despite lacking clear sources or verifiable evidence.

The rumors have once again been tied to the Yu Menglong case, which, according to official statements at the time, was ruled an accidental death with no criminal involvement. However, the limited amount of information released to the public fueled ongoing speculation online. One recurring claim involves a so-called dinner gathering list allegedly naming several public figures, including Song Yiren, though the authenticity and context of the list have never been officially confirmed.
As the controversy intensified, Song Yiren’s social media comment sections were flooded with questions carrying accusatory undertones, such as whether she was present at the scene or had any connection to Yu Menglong. Unfounded claims also emerged alleging that her phone had been hacked and contained sensitive footage related to the incident. To date, none of these allegations have been proven, with most originating from unverified social media posts and comments.
Song Yiren previously addressed the issue publicly in September through a lengthy statement on Weibo. In her post, she refuted five major rumors circulating online and firmly stated that she had no involvement whatsoever in Yu Menglong’s death. She also spoke openly about the severe psychological pressure she faced due to the wave of rumors and online attacks. So far, this remains her only official public response regarding the controversy.
More recently, additional claims have surfaced alleging that Song Yiren intentionally “disappeared” due to disputes involving brand endorsements and drama productions, supposedly leading to demands for substantial financial compensation. However, no credible media outlets have confirmed the existence of lawsuits, contract terminations, or any actual disappearance as described in online discussions.
As of now, there has been no official statement from Song Yiren, her agency, or any authoritative news organization confirming that she has gone missing or is in danger. The information circulating online remains largely unverified social media rumor, and the public is urged to remain cautious and critical rather than accepting such claims at face value.
