Huangfeng Valley, one of the sects, faced a desperate situation, prompting its leader to summon “Linghu Patriarch” (Li Ming) to turn the tide.

However, in a shocking twist, Linghu Patriarch chose to betray “Hongfu” (Liu Yan) by handing her over to “Yunwu Patriarch” (Xu Haiqiao) from the demon side in exchange for protecting Huangfeng. Yunwu and Hongfu had once been lovers in their youth, before Hongfu discovered his true identity and chose to part ways. Still, Yunwu carried deep feelings for her for years.
Amid the crisis, Huangfeng elder “Li Huayuan” (Li Naiwen) couldn’t bear to see his junior sister lose her freedom. With unwavering resolve, he challenged Yunwu in battle. Before leaving, he met his disciple “Han Li” (Yang Yang), urging him not to sacrifice himself in what he saw as a meaningless war, and shared his treasures with him. Though Han Li had a bad feeling and didn’t want to let his master go, he was ultimately swayed by his teacher’s conviction. Li Huayuan eventually fell at Yunwu’s hands, while Hongfu chose a life as a free cultivator, rescuing abandoned disciples from the Seven Sects.
The emotional farewell between master and disciple became a trending topic online. In a dream, Han Li saw his master dressed in white robes, sharing lighthearted banter before reminding him, “Remember your origin and your original intention.” Before fading away, Li Huayuan told him, “There are many beautiful sights in this world. Go and see them for me.” Han Li broke down in tears upon hearing these words.
Meanwhile, Han Li reunited with Nangong Wan (Jin Chen). After the great battle, she searched for him in secret to ensure his safety, saving many disciples along the way. Her actions drew the attention of Wang Chan (Wang Duo) and his men. Just when things looked dire, Han Li arrived to save her. The two hid in a secluded cave, where Nangong Wan unknowingly drained Han Li’s powers. When she woke up, she pretended to be her cousin, Nangong Ping. They lived together for a while before parting ways—a twist that left audiences bewildered, especially as her character used a fake identity with no further explanation.
In the closing moments, Han Li activated a teleportation array to leave his original world. Gazing at the vast new realm before him, he smiled with satisfaction and said, “This scenery is truly beautiful,” bringing the first season of The Immortal Ascension to an end.
