LayarHijau – Jin Chen has spoken positively about Wang Churan, who joined the Chinese variety show Natural High IV (现在就出发4) as its new female cast member. On October 13, Jin Chen unexpectedly went live on social media. During the livestream, a netizen asked her to share her thoughts on Wang Churan in the comment section, prompting Jin Chen to praise the actress.
Jin Chen said she had watched Wang Churan’s performance and thought she did very well. She also praised Wang Churan’s beauty and described her as someone who could express herself freely and naturally.

“Chu Ran is great too. I’ve seen her. She’s very beautiful and very uninhibited. I think she’s really good,” Jin Chen said during the livestream.
She went on to express her hope that people would view the show as something that brings joy and spreads positive energy.
“Everyone should just see it as something beautiful and joyful. Just spread happiness,” she added.
Wang Churan Joins Natural High IV as the New Female Cast Member
Since Natural High IV premiered, Wang Churan’s arrival as the new female cast member has attracted considerable attention. Jin Chen previously served as the show’s regular female cast member for its first three seasons and earned praise for her physical fitness, easygoing personality, and quick-witted responses to the other participants’ jokes.
However, Jin Chen’s public image suffered a serious setback following a traffic accident controversy earlier this year. The incident involved allegations that her assistant had claimed to be the driver. The controversy drew widespread public attention and ultimately led to her withdrawal from filming the latest season.
Wang Churan subsequently took over the position Jin Chen left behind. Although she is widely known for her roles in dramas such as Overdo (将军在上), Serenade of Peaceful Joy (清平乐), Fireworks of My Heart (我的人间烟火), and Are You the One (柳舟记), Natural High IV marks her first experience as a regular cast member on a variety show.
Previously, Wang Churan had appeared only as a guest on a limited number of variety programs. Since audiences primarily associate her with the elegant, composed, and intelligent female characters she portrays in dramas, some fans of the show had worried that she might struggle to fit into Natural High’s relaxed atmosphere, which revolves around close friendships, spontaneous banter, and the cast members playfully teasing one another.
Jin Chen’s praise for Wang Churan drew positive reactions from netizens in China. Her supportive attitude toward Wang Churan, despite the latter taking over her position on the variety show, was seen as a refreshing gesture amid the intense competition in the entertainment industry.
One Weibo user commented, “Beautiful women supporting other beautiful women.”
