LayarHijau.com — Production company GDH, Thailand’s largest film studio, recreated scenes from the horror film Inherit at a shopping mall in Bangkok in late October, coinciding with Halloween. Grandma Woranat (Khun Yai Woranat), the ghost in the film, roamed the mall in search of her next “heir.” In one scene, the character even vomited centipedes, mirroring a scene in the film.
Grandma Woranat is the most iconic character from the classic Thai horror novel Thayat Asoon (The Devil’s Heir), on which the film is based.

Inherit is directed and produced by Banjong Pisanthanakun, who also directed the horror films Shutter and The Medium. The film stars Thai actress Davika Hoorne (Mai Davika) and is scheduled to open in Thai theaters on November 19.
Inherit tells the story of a woman who disappeared for half a century and suddenly returns to her family. She still looks like she is in her 30s. Her return is not just a family reunion. She brings the supernatural power of an ancient centipede, which gradually threatens the entire family as she searches for her next heir.
The story centers on family bloodlines, curses, and inheritance across generations, with supernatural horror elements. With this mall event, GDH extended the film’s horror atmosphere beyond the theater so the public could experience it ahead of release.
