However, Tencent Video seemed to take advantage of the hot rumors and gossip circulating in the Chinese entertainment industry. This was evident in a trending video clip on Weibo. As Li Landi took the stage to accept her award, the camera initially focused on Ren Jialun, her co-star from the drama Love of Nirvana, which aired on Tencent Video and WeTV this year.

Suddenly, the camera switched to Zhang Xincheng, capturing the actor for several seconds before returning to Ren Jialun.
Fans of Chinese dramas, both domestically and internationally, are well aware of the rumors surrounding Zhang Xincheng and Li Landi’s relationship. Earlier this year, they were spotted together by paparazzi while vacationing abroad.
During the Weibo-hosted Vision Conference 2024, both became trending topics after a viral video of them crossing paths in a hallway surfaced. This moment followed claims from paparazzi that they returned together from a trip to New Zealand, with the video gaining traction as they appeared to act as if they didn’t know each other.
The camera trick at Tencent Video All Star Night 2024 drew reactions from Weibo users, who labeled it as a “paid CP.” One comment asked when the duo would go public, expressing eagerness to support the couple in real life.
Most users found the program director’s move amusing, suggesting it was an attempt to leverage the hot rumors in the entertainment industry to boost the event’s ratings.
