LayarHijau– Chinese actress Jing Tian has come under the spotlight after cryptocurrency entrepreneur Sun Yuchen filed a lawsuit against her and her parents in a financial dispute involving more than RMB 30 million (approximately US$4.1 million). The case has been accepted by the court, while earlier surrogacy rumors surrounding Jing Tian have resurfaced following the latest development.
On August 27, 2026, attorney Zhang Qihuai confirmed that he is representing Sun Yuchen in the case. He said Sun had filed a civil lawsuit against Jing Tian and her parents over a property dispute involving more than RMB 30 million.

According to Zhang, the case has been formally accepted and registered by the court. Sun’s side has also applied for the preservation of assets. However, the case has not yet proceeded to a hearing on its merits because Jing Tian’s side has raised an objection to the court’s jurisdiction. That objection is still under review, and no final ruling has been issued.
Zhang also confirmed that Jing Tian and Sun Yuchen were previously in a relationship and had discussed marriage before breaking up sometime in the first half of 2026.

“After they broke up, all he wants is for the money to be returned. He has no other demands,” Zhang said when explaining Sun’s legal claim.
He further clarified that the more than RMB 30 million at the center of the dispute was a cai li, a traditional marriage-related payment made by the groom’s side. Zhang stressed that the lawsuit itself does not involve a claim concerning surrogacy.
That clarification is significant because surrogacy allegations involving Jing Tian had already circulated online in May. At the time, claims emerged that Jing Tian had received a large sum of money from a wealthy businessman in connection with a surrogacy arrangement, before a dispute allegedly arose over the money.
Jing Tian’s studio denied the allegations at the time. Now, after Sun’s lawsuit became public and his lawyer confirmed that he and Jing Tian had been a couple, the earlier rumors have once again drawn widespread attention.
Jing Tian’s studio issued a statement on August 27, saying that it would address the matter through legal channels rather than engage in a public dispute.
“An artist’s reputation is their lifeline, but it is also their vulnerability. We have the courage to say no to attempts to exploit an artist’s reputation,” the studio said.
The statement added that the studio trusts the law and will follow all legal procedures, while leaving the matter for the court to resolve.
Meanwhile, Sun Yuchen published a lengthy post titled “My Girlfriend Jing Tian” on social media on the same day.

In the post, Sun shared his version of their relationship. He claimed that he had first become aware of Jing Tian in 2007, when he was still studying at Peking University. The two eventually met years later and began a relationship that, according to Sun, progressed to discussions about marriage.
Sun also wrote about trips they allegedly took together, plans to buy a home in Hong Kong and discussions about having a child through surrogacy. He claimed that their relationship eventually broke down after a dispute over money while Jing Tian was in Los Angeles for procedures related to egg retrieval.
According to Sun’s account, Jing Tian later asked him for US$50 million, a request he said he ultimately refused. These details, however, come from Sun’s personal account and have not been established as facts by a court.
Sun’s lengthy post also reportedly carried a disclaimer identifying its contents as fictional. As a result, details concerning their relationship, the alleged surrogacy plans and the claimed US$50 million request should be understood as part of Sun’s account rather than established facts.
For now, the confirmed legal development is that a civil lawsuit has been filed against Jing Tian and her parents over more than RMB 30 million. According to Sun’s lawyer, the claim concerns the return of the marriage-related payment and does not involve surrogacy.
The case remains at an early stage. Jing Tian’s side has challenged the court’s jurisdiction, and the dispute has yet to proceed to a substantive hearing. No final judgment has been issued determining either side’s claims.
