The Big Reveal and Career Triumphs
As the drama approached its final episodes, Li Yifei finally came clean to Qian Fei about his true identity. It turns out the man who had been living a modest life was actually the heir to the wealthy Qiansheng Group.
Not only that, the fiercely independent Qian Fei successfully completed the Qiansheng Group’s asset restructuring project on her own. Her accomplishment earned the respect and approval of Li Yifei’s father. Meanwhile, Li Yifei’s agricultural startup company also received his father’s blessing. Both characters successfully achieved their professional dreams.
A Heart-Stopping Accident Scene
Before reaching its sweet climax, the drama threw in a tense and nerve-wracking twist. While driving, Li Yifei received a phone call informing him that Qian Fei had been in a car accident.
Panicking and fearing the worst, Li Yifei rushed to the hospital and was completely devastated, believing she might be seriously injured. Fortunately, upon arriving, he found that Qian Fei had only sustained minor injuries. The moment Li Yifei held her tightly at the hospital made him realize just how important Qian Fei truly was in his life.
A Dual Proposal That Melted Hearts
Realizing the depth of his feelings, Li Yifei quickly prepared a ring and planned to propose to Qian Fei at their old shared rental apartment. However, to his surprise, upon entering the apartment, he discovered a ring box with a note that read: “Li Yifei, will you marry me?”
Right after Li Yifei read the note, Qian Fei walked through the door. Without hesitation, Li Yifei immediately dropped to one knee and proposed first, delivering a line that left netizens swooning:
“In my entire life, aside from my parents, I will only ever kneel for you.”
This beautiful mutual proposal moment moved audiences to tears, showcasing how deeply devoted their love truly was.
A Comedic Ending: “Landlady, I’m Hungry!”
After the romantic mutual proposals and a sweet kiss, Love Has Fireworks stayed true to its romantic comedy roots. In the middle of their tender moment, Li Yifei suddenly changed his expression and said in an adorably whiny tone, “Landlady, I’m hungry!” while begging Qian Fei to cook for him.
Qian Fei responded by pinching his cheek and saying, “All you think about is food!” This hilarious exchange in the final moments had netizens in stitches. Many praised the drama for maintaining its lighthearted comedic tone all the way to the very end, avoiding any sad or cliché conclusion.
Once Underestimated, Now a Ratings Champion
An interesting fact behind the success of Love Has Fireworks is that the drama had actually wrapped filming nearly three years before it aired. With virtually no promotional campaign, it was initially underestimated upon release.
Many viewers criticized the “living under one roof” premise as predictable and outdated. However, the drama’s reputation completely turned around when Qian Fei’s character began to recover from her past relationship. The growing chemistry between Wang Churan and Tan Jianci in the second half of the series captivated audiences, sending ratings soaring and successfully overtaking other major dramas in the same timeslot, such as Blazing Summer and The Southern Archives.
