LayarHijau –Tian Xiwei and Song Weilong emerged as the biggest winners in the popularity voting for the 2026 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards, taking first place in the actress and actor categories, respectively.
The results of the global online vote were recently announced, with Tian securing approximately 7.06 million votes to claim the Most Popular Actress award. Her total placed her comfortably ahead of the competition, making her the highest-voted actress in this year’s popularity poll.

Fans and netizens were impressed by the scale of support behind her victory, with many describing the voting race as a full-blown fan mobilization battle.
Song Weilong also delivered a dominant performance in the men’s category. The actor received around 7.82 million votes, far surpassing the second-place finisher, who collected about 2.02 million votes.
The strong showing by both stars marks the second consecutive year that Chinese actors have taken home the popularity honors at the Asia Contents Awards.
Tian’s surge in popularity has been widely linked to the success of Pursuit of Jade (逐玉). In the historical drama, she plays Fan Changyu, a butcher’s daughter who rises from humble beginnings to become a female general. The character’s dramatic journey and personal growth resonated strongly with viewers and helped further elevate Tian’s profile.
Over the past few years, Tian has steadily expanded her fan base through hit dramas including New Life Begins (卿卿日常), Guardians of the Dafeng (大奉打更人), and Pursuit of Jade. Industry observers have noted her successful transition from being known primarily for sweet and youthful roles to becoming an actress capable of handling both costume dramas and action-oriented performances.
Beyond the popularity awards, both Tian and Song are also in contention for major acting honors. Tian earned a Best Actress nomination for Pursuit of Jade, while Song received a Best Actor nomination for Shine on Me (骄阳似我).
They will compete against several prominent South Korean stars, including Hyun Bin, Kim Seon-ho, Shin Hye-sun, and Kim Yoo-jung, for the event’s top acting awards.
