LayarHijau – Chinese actor Song Weilong has addressed the label “handsome but stiff,” which has often been attached to him by the public. In a recent interview with Vogue, he revealed a more relaxed, humorous, and sincere side while discussing how he views public perception.
Responding to the label, Song Weilong did not appear offended. Instead, he emphasized that everyone has their own unique personality and strengths. In his view, people should not be judged solely based on appearances or simplified labels.

When talking about negative comments, he admitted that he used to be affected by them. Reading harsh criticism once made him feel upset. However, he shared that he has become much more emotionally stable over time. He no longer experiences strong emotional swings and has learned to be more selective in how he processes others’ opinions.

Song Weilong explained that he remains open to feedback. If the criticism is constructive, he is willing to accept it. Otherwise, he chooses not to dwell on it.
Addressing the issue of overthinking, he said that he can now pull himself out of that mental state more quickly. He first reflects on whether there is actually something wrong that needs fixing. If he finds no real issue, he refuses to change himself simply because of judgments from strangers.
In the same interview, he also spoke about things he prefers to avoid. He made it clear that he does not force himself to do things he does not want to do. This includes not compromising his personal principles just to make friends or attend certain social events.
Ending the conversation on a light note, he joked about appearance-related trends. He mentioned the saying that “the best cosmetic enhancement for men is cosmetic procedures,” but added that he currently has no plans to pursue that path.
