LayarHijau – The alleged hit-and-run case involving actress Jin Chen continues to draw public attention. On January 30, officials from the village where the incident occurred confirmed that the damaged wall of a local resident’s house had already been compensated. Meanwhile, local police stated that an investigation team has been formed to look into the alleged fleeing from the scene and claims that an assistant acted as a substitute driver.

Previously, on January 29, Jin Chen was reported to have allegedly been involved in a traffic accident and left the scene. She was also accused of asking her assistant, surnamed Xu, to handle the incident on her behalf. The allegations sparked widespread discussion on social media, alongside the circulation of a document said to be a Traffic Accident Determination Letter.

According to previously disclosed information, the accident took place on March 16, 2025, at around 3:07 p.m. local time near a bus stop in Lingxia Village, Huitang Subdistrict, Keqiao District, Shaoxing. The circulated accident determination letter stated that Xu was driving a small passenger vehicle when, due to a lack of vigilance, it collided with a warning sign. The vehicle then struck a residential wall, resulting in damage to the car, the warning sign, and the wall, as well as injuries to the driver.

China Blue News reported that traffic police from the Conan unit in Shaoxing have confirmed the authenticity of the Traffic Accident Determination Letter. However, regarding whether Xu acted as a substitute for Jin Chen, police said further investigation is still underway. The Keqiao District Public Security Bureau has also established a special investigation team to examine the entire incident.

On the afternoon of January 30, reporters from Modern Express contacted the Lingxia Village committee. A staff member stated that the incident occurred last year and involved damage to a villager’s residential wall. According to the staff, compensation for the damage had already been made, though they were not aware of the full details of the case.

As of publication, Jin Chen and her management team have yet to issue an official response regarding the alleged hit-and-run or the ongoing investigation. Authorities continue to investigate the matter.
