Le Zai’s girlfriend, Xi Xi (熙熙), took the allegations public by sharing what she described as evidence of his infidelity, including private chat records and money transfer histories allegedly linked to other people.
Among the individuals mentioned in reports about the case was a female neighbor who lived on the floor above Le Zai. Xi Xi also reportedly discovered at least six other people he was allegedly involved with shortly before the couple planned to introduce their families and discuss their future together.
According to Xi Xi, this was not the first time she had discovered her boyfriend’s infidelity. She said she caught him cheating in 2024 but decided to forgive him and give their relationship another chance. However, after allegedly uncovering further evidence shortly before their planned marriage, she decided to expose the matter publicly.
Xi Xi also said the repeated incidents had taken a serious emotional toll on her, leaving her struggling with depression and anxiety. Her account has drawn attention to the personal cost of remaining in a relationship where trust has been repeatedly broken.
Following the allegations, Le Zai issued a public apology, acknowledging his wrongdoing and describing his actions as a serious betrayal. He also expressed his willingness to pay Xi Xi 500,000 yuan in compensation, equivalent to approximately $70,000.
Le Zai is a beauty influencer and content creator active on Douyin, China’s popular short-video platform. His account reportedly has more than 3.1 million followers and over 58 million likes. However, his substantial following on Douyin does not necessarily mean he is equally well known outside China.
