The scene highlights the psychological thriller elements of Raeng Ngao 2026, which goes beyond infidelity and confrontations between its characters. Beneath its revenge-driven storyline, the drama explores the depths of grief and the extreme measures someone might take after losing a loved one.
Baifern Pimchanok takes on two roles in the series, playing twin sisters Muta and Munin. The sisters have contrasting personalities. Muta is portrayed as gentle and soft-spoken, while Munin is a more assertive woman who works as an engineer.
The tragedy begins when Muta becomes involved with a man who claims he is not engaged. After she becomes pregnant, Muta meets a tragic end. Her death leaves Munin devastated and determined to avenge what happened to her twin sister.
One of the most striking images of Munin’s grief comes in a scene featuring a transparent glass coffin containing Muta’s body. The coffin is placed in Munin’s home and used as a dining table. The unsettling detail reinforces the drama’s dark atmosphere and suggests that Muta’s death continues to haunt Munin’s life.
Baifern’s dual role is central to the story. The actress must portray two sisters with distinct personalities while also conveying Munin’s emotional transformation following the tragedy.
Meanwhile, the staircase scene that first went viral takes place during a confrontation between Munin and the wife of a powerful government official. The wife, played by veteran actress Benz, slaps Munin outside a government building. Munin then tumbles down a long staircase in a sequence lasting around 20 seconds.
A high-angle shot captures her body rolling down flight after flight of stairs and across several landings before she finally reaches the bottom. The exaggerated sequence sparked a wave of jokes on social media. Some viewers compared Baifern’s movements to an object spinning uncontrollably, while others joked that her character could even pick up a food order on the way down.
Unlike the staircase scene, which drew laughter for its over-the-top execution, the glass coffin sequence emphasizes the story’s tragic and unsettling side. Together, the two scenes illustrate how Raeng Ngao 2026 combines intense emotional conflicts with extreme moments that capture viewers’ attention.
Premiering on October 26, 2026, Raeng Ngao 2026 is the latest adaptation of a classic story that has previously been brought to film and television. This version takes a darker thriller approach, weaving together forbidden relationships, family tragedy, deception, and revenge.
The drama’s popularity is also reflected in its audience figures. According to official ONE31 data cited by Hong Kong media outlet HK01, Raeng Ngao 2026 has attracted more than 2.06 million cumulative viewers across Thailand. It has also recorded a rating of 3.39 in Bangkok, making it the highest-rated drama on ONE31 so far in 2026.
On social media, the series has reportedly generated more than 1.068 billion in reach and approximately 159 million interactions. These figures highlight the level of attention the drama has received since its premiere.
With its dark revenge storyline and extreme character choices, Raeng Ngao 2026 offers more than just a viral staircase scene. Munin’s decision to keep Muta’s body inside a glass coffin that serves as a dining table provides another glimpse into the drama’s disturbing world, revealing a darker side beyond the scene that first captured widespread attention.
