LayarHijau – The alleged involvement of actress Jin Chen in a traffic accident suspected to be a hit-and-run has once again drawn public attention. On January 29, the topic “Jin Chen suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run accident” trended widely on social media, triggering intense public discussion and speculation.
Traffic police in Shaoxing, specifically the Ke’nan Subdivision, previously confirmed that the traffic accident determination document circulating online is authentic. Authorities also verified that the incident occurred in 2025. However, police emphasized that whether the case constitutes a hit-and-run has not yet been determined, as the investigation is still ongoing.
On the morning of January 30, reporters from Dahe Daily contacted the Ke’nan Traffic Police Unit to inquire about the latest developments. A staff member stated that the investigation remains in progress and firmly denied online rumors claiming that CCTV footage had captured Jin Chen driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Regarding media reports suggesting that an insurance claim related to the incident was filed and later withdrawn, police said they were unable to provide further details at this stage. They stressed that all findings from the investigation, including matters related to insurance, will be officially announced by higher-level authorities once the investigation is concluded.
Previously, the insurance company involved revealed that after the claim was reported, its local branch carried out standard procedures, including an on-site inspection. During the process, however, the claimant chose to abandon the claim, leading the company to cancel the insurance report in accordance with established procedures.
As of the time of publication, Jin Chen and her management team have not issued any official statement or response regarding the ongoing investigation into the alleged traffic accident.
