Adapted from a novel by Gu Man, who also serves as the screenwriter, Shine on Me is produced by Xixi Pictures in collaboration with Tencent Video. Since its release, the drama has repeatedly climbed hot search rankings, driven by its sweet romantic tone, CEO-style male lead, and the intense on-screen interaction between its two leads.
According to reports from Chinese media, Shine on Me follows Nie Xiguang (Zhao Jinmai), a young woman from a wealthy family who chooses to hide her background and start her career from the lowest level at her father’s company. During her university years, she once harbored unrequited feelings for a talented man named Zhuang Xu. After graduation, her life takes a turn when she encounters Lin Yusen (Song Weilong), a newly appointed vice president known for his strict and aloof demeanor.
