LayarHijau– The hit drama Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼), starring Zhao Lusi and William Chan, continues to dominate viewership charts with its increasingly engaging storyline. In the latest episode, Xu Yan (played by Zhao Lusi) officially divorces Shen Haoming (William Chan) and launches her own fashion brand, Yan Yi Fang.
However, what caught everyone’s attention wasn’t just the emotional breakup—it was an unexpected “appearance” by Xu Kai. Sharp-eyed viewers noticed that Xu Kai briefly showed up in Love’s Ambition! More precisely, it was his character Han Ting from As Beautiful As You (你比星光美丽).

The surprising moment occurs in episode 25, around the 26-minute mark. During a news segment about Yan Yi Fang, a man in a suit is shown shaking hands and sitting across from the characters in the scene. Upon closer inspection, viewers realized that the man was none other than Han Ting from As Beautiful As You!
Interestingly, this clip was directly taken from As Beautiful As You, effectively linking the two dramas in a delightful crossover. WZ Gossip Boy on Baijihao Baidu wrote that many fans called it a “dream collaboration” between two beloved stories.
The reason behind this unexpected connection is simple—both dramas were directed by Chen Chang. It seems the director intentionally inserted the old footage as a subtle “easter egg” for dedicated fans to discover.
The term easter egg originates from Western pop culture, referring to hidden details or secret references intentionally placed by creators for fans to find. These hidden gems often serve as a fun surprise or a nod connecting different works by the same creator.
Many fans expressed excitement at seeing Han Ting again, even if only for a brief moment. “It felt nostalgic to see President Han after such a long time,” one popular comment on Weibo read.
Now, fans are playfully debating online: who’s more charming—the gentle, refined President Han, or the passionate President Shen who’s determined to win back his ex-wife?
