LayarHijau – Chinese actor Yu Menglong, 37, best known for the series Eternal Love (三生三世十里桃花), passed away in Beijing on September 11. His mother stated that he fell from a building after drinking alcohol, and no criminal elements were found. However, a mainland Chinese internet celebrity recently claimed to have obtained Yu Menglong’s final message with his mother’s consent.
In the message, Yu allegedly confessed to being manipulated by an older man known as “Prince.” He wrote, “Every time I see those bank transfer numbers, I feel sick and want to vomit.” The dramatic wording immediately drew widespread skepticism from netizens.

A YouTuber named “Lao Deng” shared what was claimed to be Yu Menglong’s last message to his mother. He wrote that he was imprisoned in a dark apartment. “I have to say goodbye to you in a hurry, Mom, because they may come in and kill me at any time. This is not a joke or a hallucination.” In the message, he said he felt desperate and didn’t understand why he had fallen into such a predicament when all he wanted was to make his debut through acting. He also apologized to his mother, recalling the time when he landed his first role and she happily made dumplings to celebrate. “But who knew the darkness of this industry would go far beyond my imagination.”
The message further stated that after entering society, he had to compromise with injustice. “If you stick to your principles, you will be doomed,” he wrote. He admitted he could be blacklisted or even endangered if he refused to yield to the powerful. He also claimed he was used as a pawn for money laundering, receiving astronomical transfers that poisoned his life. “Mom, do you know, every time I see those bank transfer numbers, I feel sick and want to vomit. That’s not my money, it’s dirty and bloody.” He ended the message by saying he failed to escape and could only bid farewell to his mother.
Even so, many netizens questioned the authenticity of the message. One commenter wrote, “From what I know of him, it’s very likely he was avoiding talking about this.” Others doubted the logic of such details being revealed. “If something like this really happened, his family would be the next target. The words are too flowery, not like someone pushed to suicide.” Other reactions included, “If you have time to type this long, why not send a message to Huahua or Yang Mi? Totally weird,” “This is just fantasy,” “It’s definitely not Yu Menglong’s tone,” and “So fake. Anyone who believes this is really stupid.”
