LayarHijau — Yu Shinoda, a former adult film star from Japan, has reportedly become entangled in rumors of an illicit relationship with prominent kickboxer Genji Umeno. The claim has not been confirmed, and so far no clear evidence has been presented.
The rumor was first floated by influencer Mysteria on the social media platform X. Mysteria said Yu Shinoda is suspected of being involved in Genji Umeno’s marriage and is now said to be pregnant. Mysteria also claimed that the source of the story is Genji Umeno’s own wife. The post included no evidence and has reportedly been viewed millions of times within a short period.

Yu Shinoda was widely known in Japan’s adult film industry before abruptly announcing her retirement three years ago. She has not appeared in public since.
Commentator Yijian Huanchunqiu responded to the rumor on his site, Play NO.1. According to him, the claim has no clear source or evidence. The only oddity, he said, is that Genji Umeno’s X account was suddenly deleted, while his Instagram and YouTube accounts have also gone without updates for some time. However, he noted, that does not automatically mean an illicit relationship took place.
Yijian Huanchunqiu, whose real name is Huang Zheng, is a Taiwanese writer who has run Play NO.1 for more than a decade. He began as a blogger writing about film, sports, and Japanese entertainment, and Taiwanese media have called him an “expert” since 2008. A former news editor, he now writes full time about Japan’s entertainment world, and his views are regularly cited by media in Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Yijian Huanchunqiu believes the rumor spread so quickly because Genji Umeno has suddenly vanished from public view, and because Yu Shinoda has not resurfaced since her retirement. Without those two factors, he said, the post would have been just another ordinary rumor.
Meanwhile, an Instagram account under Yu Shinoda’s name with roughly 240,000 followers is said not to be run by her. Yu Shinoda herself once stated that she only had an X account, which she deleted without notice three years ago. She has shared no news since.
As of this writing, neither Yu Shinoda nor Genji Umeno has issued an official statement on the rumor.
