LayarHijau – Gavan Infinity is returning through the companion series Kakusei Hunter Omega Horn: The Hunters’ Confidential Records with Gavan. Following the release of its latest episode on September 13, the series will continue with two new episodes on September 20 and September 27.
The companion series, released through the Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club (TTFC), runs alongside Kakusei Hunter Omega Horn. It explores events outside the main storyline that are not shown in the television series, including stories connected to Gavan Infinity.
One of the episodes most relevant to Gavan fans is NO.10 “The Gavan They Admire,” which is scheduled to premiere on September 27. The episode brings back characters connected to Gavan while also touching on the possibility of a successor.
NO.08 Continues the Story After the Main Episode
The latest installment, NO.08 “The Muscle Man Under Suspension,” became available to TTFC members on September 13 at 10 a.m. JST.
The story takes place after the eighth episode of Kakusei Hunter Omega Horn, titled “Revive! The Ancient Weapon!”
The episode focuses on Gennou, played by Hiroto Sakuraba, who has been suspended following an incident in the main story. While Gennou is away from his room, Barsar, played by Kaoru Mitsumune, sneaks inside.
Gennou has apparently anticipated the possibility of an attack. He prepares to confront Barsar by practicing shadowboxing.
However, Barsar’s visit turns out to have an unexpected purpose. The reason behind her visit becomes part of the “confidential record” revealed through the companion series.
Gavan’s Story Continues in the Upcoming Episodes
Gavan’s involvement in the series is not new. NO.02 “The Gavans After Resolving the Case” previously featured Gavan Amigo.
The episode takes place after a case has been resolved. Aikokuin Setsuna, played by Ryuga Akabane, discusses a dessert with Kiki Iwai, Kotobuki Takanari, and Rui Amou.
They consider oshiruko somen, a dish combining somen noodles with sweet red bean soup. They also think about Reiji, who is believed to still be somewhere in space, and wonder whether they could give him some.
Gavan Amigo then suddenly appears while carrying something.
Gavan Armaize, voiced by Fumihiko Tachiki, is also part of the companion series.
The appearances of these characters show how the series connects with Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity while exploring events that take place outside the main storyline of Kakusei Hunter Omega Horn.
NO.09 Arrives on September 20
The story will continue with NO.09 “Enkaku’s Spoils of War” on September 20.
The episode revolves around onsen manju given to Ivar as a reward. Shout, Enkaku, Eiru, Aru, and Giriko are left alarmed after learning that the treat is notorious for its terrible taste.
Omega Analyzer also provides an explanation about the food, while Ivar, Gennou, and Barsar have an incident of their own.
NO.09 will be available to TTFC members from 10 a.m. JST.
NO.10 Explores Gavan and His Potential Successor
The episode most directly connected to Gavan is scheduled for September 27 with NO.10 “The Gavan They Admire.”
The story follows Kiki and Setsuna as they arrive at the Earth branch. Rikya Wanibuchi, played by Keito Yasuda, is assigned to guide them.
However, Rikya has another objective. He attempts to learn about Gavan’s principles and secrets because he wants to help Patran, who dreams of becoming the next Gavan.
The episode therefore does more than simply bring Gavan-related characters back into the story. It also touches on the question of who could succeed Gavan, making it particularly relevant to fans following Gavan Infinity.
First Four Episodes to Stream Free on YouTube
Viewers will also have an opportunity to watch the first four episodes of the companion series for free.
NO.01 through NO.04 will be streamed on the Toei Tokusatsu YouTube Official channel beginning September 19 at 10 a.m. JST as part of Japan’s Silver Week holiday period.
The four episodes include stories about Enkaku’s fascination with modern food, Ivar’s unexpected experience at a public bath, and Eiru and Aru’s training in the rain.
The companion series takes a lighter approach than the main story, but it adds extra context by showing the Hunters’ lives outside the central conflict while expanding the stories connected to Gavan.
With NO.09 scheduled for September 20 and NO.10 for September 27, the story will continue to unfold over the next two weeks. For Gavan Infinity fans, the return of Gavan and the introduction of the potential successor in NO.10 will be among the developments to watch.
