LayarHijau – The announcement of Xiao Zhan’s first solo concert tour has sparked tremendous excitement among fans. However, the strong demand to attend the concerts has also driven up hotel prices near the venue. Several hotels in Nanjing, China, have reportedly raised their room rates dramatically, with some prices increasing by more than 12 times their previous levels.
On October 13, Xiao Zhan officially announced his solo concert tour, titled “出口·我们” (Chu Kou · Wo Men). The concerts are scheduled for October 23 and 25 at the Nanjing Dream Blue Youth Olympic Sports Park Gymnasium. The tour marks his first solo concert tour in the ten years since his debut.

The announcement quickly became a hot topic on Chinese social media. Fan enthusiasm was also reflected in ticket demand, with the number of people registering for tickets reportedly surpassing one million.
Xiao Zhan Concert Tickets Cost Up to US$276
According to a report by Jimu News (via Sohu) on October 14, tickets for Xiao Zhan’s Nanjing concerts were priced between 390 yuan and 1,960 yuan. Using an approximate exchange rate of 7.1 yuan per US dollar, the tickets cost around US$55 to US$276.
The strong demand for the concerts has also affected accommodation prices near the venue. A reporter checking travel booking platforms found that several hotels had significantly increased their room rates for October 23–25.
One of the most striking increases was reported at Home Inn Select Hotel near Nanjing University of Technology Metro Station. Before October 23, the hotel’s lowest room rate was 179 yuan, or approximately US$25 per night.
However, the lowest rate for October 23 surged to 2,193 yuan, equivalent to around US$309. This represents an increase of more than 12 times the previous price.
A similar situation was reported at Nanjing Yangtze River International Conference Center Hotel. Its lowest room rate rose from 534 yuan, or approximately US$75 per night on October 22, to 5,888 yuan, equivalent to around US$829, for October 23.
Meanwhile, Ji Hotel at Pukou Research and Innovation Park also recorded a substantial increase. Its lowest room rate climbed from 264 yuan, or approximately US$37, to 1,820 yuan, equivalent to around US$256.
All US dollar conversions in this report are approximate and use an estimated exchange rate of 7.1 yuan per US dollar. Actual amounts may vary depending on the prevailing exchange rate.
Hotels Report No Vacancies as Fans Rush to Book Rooms
Jimu News contacted the front desk of Home Inn Select Hotel to ask about the price increases.
A hotel employee said room rates for October 23–25 had been raised on the day Xiao Zhan announced his concert tour because of the large number of booking requests.
The employee also explained that the prices displayed on third-party booking platforms were the same as those quoted directly by the hotel. According to the front desk’s computer system, no rooms were available for October 23–25.
When contacted separately, a staff member at Ji Hotel’s Pukou Research and Innovation Park branch also confirmed that rooms for October 23 were fully booked.
The reports highlight the strong demand for accommodation near the concert venue as Xiao Zhan’s fans prepare to travel to Nanjing.
Local Authorities Explain Hotel Pricing Regulations
Jimu News also contacted the Pukou District Market Supervision Administration in Nanjing to ask about the rising hotel rates.
A staff member explained that hotel prices are determined by market supply and demand. The hotels concerned do not fall under the categories subject to government-guided pricing.
According to the staff member, the rates are considered normal as long as prices are clearly displayed to consumers.
The sharp increase in hotel rates ahead of Xiao Zhan’s concerts illustrates how major entertainment events can drive up accommodation demand in host cities. For fans planning to attend the shows on October 23 and 25, hotel expenses have become an important consideration alongside ticket prices.
