LayarHijau– A fan meet-and-greet event for the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day (Spider-Man 4), marking a decade of the Spider-Man character’s cinematic journey, was officially held in Shanghai on July 24. The film’s leading stars, Tom Holland and Zendaya Coleman, made a surprise appearance and successfully stole the spotlight at the event.
Adapted from Marvel Comics, Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker as he struggles to operate as a full-time Spider-Man in a world that has completely forgotten his existence. He is forced to watch his closest friends move on with their lives without him. This internal pressure triggers a transformation within Peter that he may not be able to control. However, this change is believed to be the only force capable of stopping a highly dangerous and powerful villain that no one else can see. The film is scheduled to hit Chinese theaters on July 29.

Walking the red carpet, Tom Holland looked elegant and dapper in a brown suit. Meanwhile, Zendaya Coleman stunned the crowd with her long hair and bangs, wearing a high-slit, spider-web-themed gown. The pair looked sweet and affectionate as they walked together. As a gesture of appreciation, Tom and Zendaya enthusiastically learned to say “Hello” and “I love you” in Mandarin to express their affection to the Chinese audience.
During the interview session, Tom Holland expressed his joy at visiting Shanghai. He highly recommended Spider-Man: Brand New Day, praising its strong storyline and noting that it is highly suitable for young audiences.
“In this movie, everyone forgets Peter Parker. He is lonely, so he can only crazily fight various villains and use work to numb himself,” Tom Holland stated.
Responding to the storyline, Zendaya smiled and said, “I hope the ending is good, but I can’t reveal too much.”
In addition to discussing the film, Tom Holland also shared a fun fact, revealing that martial arts legend Jackie Chan had visited the film set and given him a great deal of encouragement during production.
