LayarHijau – Chinese actor Zhang Linghe drew massive crowds once again as he attended a product launch event in Nanjing. Following the chaotic incident at a public appearance in Nanning that left several people injured after glass barriers shattered, organizers significantly upgraded security measures to ensure the latest event ran safely.
In late May, Zhang Linghe appeared at a shopping mall event in Nanning, where overwhelming fan turnout caused severe overcrowding across multiple floors. During the crush of people, glass installations at the venue reportedly broke under pressure, injuring several attendees and briefly throwing the scene into chaos.

Taking lessons from that incident, organizers of the Nanjing event implemented much stricter crowd-control measures. According to eyewitnesses, the team conducted advance site inspections and introduced a real-name registration system along with numbered entry passes to limit attendance. S-shaped barriers were also installed to better manage pedestrian flow.
In addition, nearly 200 security personnel were deployed to maintain order throughout the event. Many online observers praised the extensive arrangements, describing them as security worthy of a top-tier celebrity appearance and saying they made the venue feel much safer.
Even with the enhanced security, fans turned out in huge numbers. Supporters packed the shopping mall from the ground floor to the upper levels, turning the product launch into what felt like a large-scale fan meeting. When Zhang Linghe stepped onto the stage wearing a white deep-V suit without a shirt underneath, his princely look sparked loud cheers and screams from the crowd.
During the event, Zhang also shared an update on his health. He revealed that he has been following a regular diet and focusing on recovery, jokingly asking fans, “Have I gotten a little chubbier lately?” His playful remark drew laughter from the audience.
The actor previously experienced low blood sugar and other health issues while filming the drama The Road to Glory (归鸾) due to his demanding work schedule. Now that filming has wrapped, he said he is gradually recovering while preparing for his next project.
A graduate of Nanjing Normal University, Zhang Linghe also reminisced about his student days by mentioning places he frequently visited, including Xianlin University Town, Xinjiekou, and Jiming Temple. He smiled as he described Nanjing as his “second home.”
