LayarHijau – Rumors surrounding Yue opera actress Chen Lijun and actor Ci Sha recently spread across Chinese social media after a gossip blogger hinted at a romance involving a “post-90s actress” and a “post-95s actor.” Soon after, netizens began directly naming Chen Lijun and Ci Sha as the alleged couple secretly dating.
The rumors quickly gained traction as multiple entertainment accounts reposted the claims, pushing the topic onto trending searches. However, both sides swiftly denied the speculation.

Chen Lijun’s team responded first by releasing an official statement through their lawyer. They stressed that the claims were entirely fabricated and malicious, adding that the rumors had seriously damaged her reputation. The statement also warned that legal action would be taken against those responsible for spreading false information.
Shortly afterward, Ci Sha’s studio also issued a clarification. The studio posted screenshots of the rumors stamped with a bold red “fake” label and firmly stated that Chen Lijun and Ci Sha are nothing more than colleagues. They also urged the public not to believe or spread unverified rumors.
Many fans had already questioned the credibility of the gossip from the start. The so-called “evidence” circulating online consisted only of text-based claims without any photos or concrete proof showing the two together.
The only known public connection between Chen Lijun and Ci Sha is their collaboration in the wuxia film Blades of the Guardians (镖人：风起沙漠), which is scheduled for release during the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday season.
In the film, Chen Lijun plays Ayuya, while Ci Sha portrays her former fiancé, He Yixuan. Their characters share a tragic romance that evolves from childhood companionship into betrayal and revenge. Their strong on-screen chemistry reportedly left a deep impression on many viewers.
Some netizens became so invested in the pairing that they began overanalyzing behind-the-scenes clips, promotional interactions, and even their schedules as supposed “proof” of a real-life romance. Still, others jokingly commented that the two would actually make a good couple if the rumors turned out to be true.
