During the livestream, Han Anran discussed what she described as a ranking of female celebrities’ plastic surgery results for 2026. In the list circulating online, Ju Jingyi was said to have the “best” results, while Yang Zi was ranked the “worst.” Lin Yun, Yang Mi, and Zhao Lusi were also considered to have relatively good results.

The controversy grew even larger after Han Anran claimed that several top actresses had visited her beauty clinic for cosmetic procedures. She stated that the doctors at her clinic are aesthetic injection specialists who regularly work with famous Chinese actresses.
“Anyone familiar with the beauty industry knows our doctors are among the best in aesthetic injections. Our doctors are from Beijing and usually handle injection procedures for top actresses,” she said during the livestream.
However, Han Anran refused to reveal any specific names, saying she wanted to protect the actresses’ privacy.
At the same time, many netizens questioned Han Anran’s claims and accused her of using the controversy to promote her beauty business. Some comments also brought up Han Anran’s own history of cosmetic surgery, which has long been widely discussed online in China.
Han Anran has previously been open about undergoing numerous cosmetic procedures since she was young. She once admitted to having dozens of surgeries, including multiple nose surgeries that reportedly caused breathing problems.
As the backlash intensified, Han Anran eventually issued a public apology. She explained that she had been on a business trip at the time and claimed that the content involving female celebrities was created using digital AI.
She also said that she originally intended to discuss beauty standards and personal aesthetics, but used the wrong term, which caused misunderstandings and controversy.
“I used inappropriate wording, which caused trouble and negative effects for the actresses and their fans. I sincerely apologize,” Han Anran wrote.
Many netizens believe the controversy was intentionally created to draw attention to Han Anran’s beauty clinic business. However, there is still no evidence confirming whether the actresses she mentioned had actually used services from her clinic.
