LayarHijau – A hashtag related to Jisoo of BLACKPINK trended on Weibo on April 18, 2026. One of the widely discussed tags claimed that Jisoo’s older brother is married and has two children. From there, online discussions expanded to various issues linked to him, including alleged legal cases and claims circulating on social media.

Posts circulating on Weibo discussed allegations of sexual harassment involving a female livestreamer. According to the narratives being shared, a man allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior toward a female streamer after a meeting that began as a paid dinner date. Some posts also included additional claims, such as alleged threats to release the victim’s private photos. In several viral posts, there were even claims that the victim cried out for help saying, “He will kill me,” along with narratives stating that police had to break down a door to rescue her. However, all of these claims are circulating on social media and are not part of official police statements.

Based on LayarHijau’s review on April 18 regarding the rumors circulating on Weibo, several South Korean media outlets have reported on a sexual harassment case involving a man in his 30s. While the reports do not disclose the suspect’s identity, online communities have speculated about a possible connection to Jisoo’s older brother.

South Korean media reported that Gangnam Police in Seoul arrested a man in his 30s, identified as A, on suspicion of sexually harassing a female streamer identified as B. According to reports, A purchased a meal date voucher worth approximately 3 million won, met the victim at a restaurant, and later took her to his home, where the alleged incident occurred.

The victim reportedly fled to the bathroom and contacted her manager, who then called the police. When officers arrived, the victim was said to be crying and stated that there had been a prior agreement not to engage in sexual contact, but that physical contact still occurred despite her repeated refusals. The case involves one victim and one incident, as stated in police reports.

On the other hand, A has denied the allegations. His side stated that while there was physical contact, it was not intended as harassment and occurred with consent.

As the case gained attention, speculation spread across online communities linking A to Jisoo’s older brother. This speculation was fueled by the circulation of previously released photos of Jisoo and her brother, which were reposted in edited form. However, police have not confirmed the identity of A, and any connection remains unverified online speculation.

South Korean media also highlighted public reactions to the issue. On official YouTube and social media channels, comments such as “Provide an explanation,” “Is the news about your brother true?” and “You should control your brother” were directed at Jisoo. Meanwhile, fans responded by defending her, posting comments like “Please protect Jisoo from being dragged into this,” “These are false rumors,” and “She has nothing to do with this situation.”

Attention has also returned to past allegations that previously surfaced in a Korean workplace community. In an anonymous post, a user claimed that after being in a personal relationship with a man surnamed Kim—allegedly Jisoo’s brother—she discovered that their sexual activity had been recorded without consent. The post further alleged that illegal recordings were stored. However, the post was later deleted, and the man identified in the claims denied the allegations and stated that legal action would be taken against the spread of false rumors.

Separately, claims of alleged domestic violence have also circulated through a Korean Instagram account under the username rocketmag_official. The post claimed that a handwritten letter, believed to be written by Jisoo’s brother’s wife, described experiences of physical abuse, verbal insults, and repeated threats. It also mentioned medical treatment and psychological distress, along with descriptions of the alleged incidents, and stated that the conflict within the family was escalating. However, these claims are circulating online and have not been verified through official sources.

South Korean media have also reported that Jisoo’s older brother is married and has children, and is involved in a health-related business connected to the independent agency Jisoo established in 2024.

As of now, there has been no official statement from Jisoo or her agency regarding the circulating issues. The case involving the man identified as A remains under police investigation, while other claims circulating online remain unverified and should be distinguished from confirmed legal facts.
