LayarHijau – Snow Kong is once again drawing attention through her performance in the Chinese drama Pursuit of Jade. In a recent appearance on Sohu’s Star Colleagues, Snow Kong—also known as Kong Xueer—shared behind-the-scenes stories, including a standout moment that quickly caught fans’ interest: being carried by Tian Xiwei during an emotional scene.

In the drama, Snow Kong plays Yu Qianqian, a sharp and independent woman known as a business-minded female shop owner with a modern way of thinking. She is portrayed as bold, resourceful, and capable of navigating difficult situations with intelligence and resilience.

According to Snow Kong, Yu Qianqian is mentally strong and fearless, someone who refuses to back down even in dangerous circumstances.

“She’s independent, smart, and brave. She handles many things on her own. Even when facing danger, she doesn’t retreat,” she explained.

Beneath that strength, however, lies a complex emotional side—especially in her relationship with Qi Min, played by Deng Kai. Their dynamic is filled with tension, combining unbalanced love, pity, and emotional turmoil.

Snow Kong described Qi Min as someone who loves deeply but is trapped in obsession, making their relationship painful and intense. For Yu Qianqian, Qi Min is not a true love interest, but rather someone she sees as a lingering nightmare.

At the same time, she acknowledged that Yu Qianqian still feels sympathy toward him due to his tragic past.

“She knows he’s pitiful. Sometimes she tries to guide him, but because he’s already too obsessed, it’s hard to change anything,” she said.

Beyond character relationships, Snow Kong also revealed how she infused “modern thinking” into Yu Qianqian’s portrayal. Through subtle details—such as dialogue, habits, and symbolic elements—she hinted at the character’s unique background without making it overly explicit in the storyline.

One of the most memorable moments during filming, however, came from a rescue scene on top of a city wall. In that scene, Tian Xiwei’s character carries Yu Qianqian to safety.

Snow Kong admitted she was genuinely impressed by Tian Xiwei’s strength while filming.

“She lifted me up so effortlessly. You could really feel her strength. And she was wearing armor, so she truly looked like a general. It gave off strong ‘boyfriend energy,’” she said with a laugh.

The scene quickly became a fan favorite, highlighting the unique dynamic between their “female general” and “young empress dowager” characters.

Interestingly, Pursuit of Jade marks Snow Kong and Tian Xiwei’s second collaboration. The two previously worked together in Moonlit Reunion, which helped build a natural chemistry that carries into their latest project.

Snow Kong shared that as filming progressed, their interactions became increasingly spontaneous and organic.

“As we went further into filming, we really immersed ourselves in the characters. Many small interactions just happened naturally—little gestures or expressions that weren’t planned,” she explained.

When it comes to her scenes with Deng Kai, Snow Kong emphasized how their intense emotional exchanges often developed organically on set.
