LayarHijau– The youth romance film Hidden Love (偷偷藏不住) has officially announced its theatrical release for summer 2026 (approximately June–August). Along with the release announcement, the production team also unveiled the youth-version theme song titled Cang Bu Zhu, performed by popular singer Yan Renzhong.
The film is adapted from the hit web novel of the same title published on Jinjiang Literature City, which once ranked second on the platform’s overall charts. Known for its delicate emotional portrayal and strong resonance with youthful experiences, the original story has generated more than 50 billion topic reads across various platforms.

The film is directed by Zhang Yudi, a young filmmaker previously known for The Midsummer’s Voice (倒仓). The screenplay is written by Zhao Yue, the writer behind Go Brother!, together with Jiang Youyou, who adapted the story into a feature film format.
The theme song preview released alongside the announcement visualizes Sang Zhi’s long, quiet journey of unspoken love through a series of delicate cinematic moments. In the clip, Sang Zhi is shown carefully writing two dreams side by side in her diary: “1. Get into Yi He University” and “2. Duan Jiaxu.” She keeps the milk bottle given by Duan Jiaxu and folds her feelings into paper stars. These silent moments portray how a love hidden for years gradually grows into something vast and unforgettable in youth.

Hidden Love boldly casts a completely new lineup of actors. Zhu Luoning stars as Sang Zhi, while Zhou Haoqi takes on the role of Duan Jiaxu. The story centers on Sang Zhi’s secret feelings for Duan Jiaxu, her older brother Sang Yan’s college roommate. Because of their age difference and circumstances, her affection remains carefully concealed as a tender secret of her adolescence.
As time passes, Sang Zhi grows into a bright and confident young woman. When she reunites with Duan Jiaxu as an adult, the feelings that were once hidden finally find their way to the surface. What began as a silent crush evolves into a deep emotional connection mutually understood by both of them.
Previously, the drama version of Hidden Love, starring Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan, aired in 2023 and sparked a major viewing craze. Unlike the drama adaptation, the film version takes a fresh approach by featuring an entirely new cast, offering audiences a different and renewed take on the beloved story.
