The list highlights the strongest-performing Chinese dramas of the year and offers a clear snapshot of audience preferences in 2025.
Claiming the top spot is the family drama set against China’s social transformations in the second half of the 20th century, Six Sisters (六姊妹), starring Mei Ting and Lu Yi. The series recorded an impressive 3.373 billion cumulative views, making it the most-watched Chinese drama of 2025 according to Kuyun.

Ranked second is This Thriving Land (生万物), led by Yang Mi and Ou Hao, which achieved 2.843 billion views during its hot-broadcast period. Close behind in third place is the historical drama Legend of Zang Hai (藏海传), starring Xiao Zhan and Zhang Jingyi, with 2.836 billion views, reflecting the continued popularity of large-scale historical productions.
In fourth place, Guardians of the Dafeng (大奉打更人) accumulated 2.339 billion views. It is followed by Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼) in fifth place with 2.289 billion views, and A Better Life (蛮好的人生) ranking sixth after reaching 2.225 billion views.
The seventh position is held by Northward (北上), which recorded 2.173 billion views, while In the Name of Justice (以法之名) secured eighth place with 2.164 billion views. Rounding out the list, Under the Skin 2 (猎罪图鉴 2) ranked ninth with 1.972 billion views, followed closely by Silent Honor (沉默的荣耀) in tenth place at 1.969 billion views.
The Kuyun rankings show that dramas centered on family narratives, historical themes, and realistic social issues continue to dominate the Chinese drama market. The relatively narrow gaps in viewership figures among the top titles also underscore the intense competition that shaped the drama landscape throughout 2025.
