At the heart of all conflicts lies a major misunderstanding between Lin Yusen and Nie Xiguang, one that alters the course of their lives for many years.
The encounter between Lin Yusen and Nie Xiguang originally stems from a meeting that was never actually arranged by Xiguang. The appointment was fabricated by Ma Nianyuan, the daughter of Qian Fangping—Nie Xiguang’s father Nie Chengyuan’s former lover. Qian Fangping was also the cause of Xiguang’s parents’ divorce. Considered an “adopted child,” Ma Nianyuan falsified Xiguang’s identity and, through Shao Jiaqi, Lin Yusen’s close friend, arranged the meeting.
Lin Yusen arrived filled with hope, believing he was about to meet the woman he loved. On the way, however, a major traffic accident shattered everything.
The injury was far from minor. His future as a surgical doctor collapsed in an instant—the hands meant to hold a scalpel could no longer function as before. A brilliant doctor lost his lifelong dream. Ironically, Ma Nianyuan, the one responsible for the incident, disappeared without explanation, clarification, or accountability.
