On December 22, 2025, he shared a long post on social media to commemorate ten years since he officially entered the industry. The post was written from Chongqing at 6:59 PM local time, coinciding with the exact date of his debut ten years ago.
In his message, Lin Yi reflected on the reason he first chose to become an actor. He admitted that he was drawn to the industry because he felt the power of the works he loved and the idols he admired. In a candid and light-hearted tone, he even said that at the beginning, he simply wanted to be a fan. For Lin Yi, the day of his debut remains a moment he deeply cherishes and feels grateful for.
He also spoke about the significant changes he has experienced over the past ten years. From someone who was once clueless and curious about everything, Lin Yi now feels he is able to piece together his own story through the many characters he has portrayed. He described this achievement as something he could never have imagined in the past and expressed his gratitude to everyone and everything that has accompanied him along the way.
