LayarHijau– Several Asian stars attended the Ralph Lauren event held at Tai Kwun in Central, Hong Kong on November 20. Among the guests, South Korean actor Song Joong Ki and actress Ahn Hayoung drew particular attention for their warm and enthusiastic comments about the city.
Song Joong Ki appeared cheerful and approachable during his on-stage interview. He shared how happy he was to return to Hong Kong—a place that holds meaningful memories for him. He revealed that his very first overseas trip in high school was to Hong Kong. “From the moment I got off the plane to arriving at the hotel, I saw so many restaurants. I have a lot of culinary memories here. I really love this city,” he said.
The actor added that if he were ever free to wander around without work commitments, he would love to stroll through Tsim Sha Tsui. When asked which Hong Kong actor or director he most hoped to work with, Song Joong Ki immediately named Tony Leung Chiu-wai and director Andrew Lau. “Fans surely know how much I admire them. I truly hope there will be a chance to collaborate one day,” he said.
Song Joong Ki also spoke about the kinds of roles he wants to explore next. Having taken on many different characters throughout his career, he is now interested in trying the horror genre and portraying characters from other Asian cultures. He recently completed a project and is currently enjoying a period of rest.
Meanwhile, Ahn Hayoung shared her own excitement about being in Hong Kong. She admitted that during her previous visit, she didn’t get the chance to ride the city’s iconic tram. “This time, I really want to take the tram and, of course, eat egg tarts,” she said with a bright smile. She also mentioned that she hoped to draw acting inspiration from the documentary shown at the event and revealed that her new drama is scheduled to premiere in January next year.
