LayarHijau – The passing of Chinese actor Alan Yu Menglong on September 11, 2025, continues to stir sorrow and speculation across the entertainment world. Police initially ruled his death as an “accidental fall after drinking,” ruling out any criminal involvement. Yet, fans and the public remain skeptical, demanding a full and transparent investigation into the circumstances of his death.
Recently, residents in Keelung City, Taiwan, paid tribute to the late actor by renting a massive digital billboard in a public area. The screen displayed Alan Yu’s photo, heartfelt messages, and a QR code leading to an online petition titled Justice for Alan Yu. The emotional gesture quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread praise.

“Taiwan is truly the warmest place because of its people,” one fan wrote on Threads. Another commented, “It’s touching to see how people in Taiwan care about a Chinese artist.” These reactions flooded social media platforms, turning the tribute into a powerful symbol of compassion and cross-border solidarity.
Meanwhile, discussions surrounding Yu Menglong’s death remain tightly controlled on Chinese platforms. Authorities have reportedly suspended over a thousand accounts and deleted more than 100,000 posts accused of “spreading rumors” about the incident. Online users who claimed the actor was “set up” or “harmed” were also detained for questioning.
As of November 9, 2025, the Justice for Alan Yu petition on Avaaz has gathered more than 660,000 signatures from supporters worldwide, urging an independent and transparent investigation. However, Chinese authorities continue to stand by their initial conclusion that Alan Yu died in an accidental fall after consuming alcohol, denying any criminal involvement.
Still, the act of kindness from Taiwan has reignited hope among fans who refuse to let the case fade away. For many, Yu Menglong remains more than just an actor — he’s a symbol of sincerity and quiet strength whose legacy continues to touch hearts across borders.
