LayarHijau — Two limited-edition trading cards signed and marked with a lip print by Lee Da-hye, a South Korean cheerleader who is popular in Taiwan, sold for a total of NT$160,000 (about $5,000) at a charity auction. All proceeds will be donated to the social welfare organization Guanaizhijia.
Lee Da-hye began her career as a cheerleader in South Korea in 2019 with the baseball club KIA Tigers, then moved to Taiwan in 2023 to join the professional baseball club Rakuten Monkeys. She now cheers for the Wei Chuan Dragons in Taiwan’s professional baseball league, the CPBL. She has more than 2 million followers on Instagram.

The auction took place on Sunday at Hall 1 of the World Trade Center, as part of the Youth Collectibles Entrepreneurship and Trading Card Culture Industry Exchange Expo. The expo ran for two days, starting Saturday. Lee Da-hye attended as an invited guest and personally showed off the limited-edition trading card made exclusively for the event. She then signed it and left her lip print on the spot, checking it carefully to make sure it looked perfect.

The cards drew about 100 bidders. The hammer finally fell at NT$160,000 (about $5,000) for the two cards.
Lee Da-hye said she had been worried the bidding might be slow. She thanked the buyer and everyone involved. “Wow, this is amazing, and I’m truly grateful. Let’s support charity together,” she said.
She said she never expected such a result. “I’m really shocked. I never imagined it. I was a bit scared, like, what if nobody bids today? But that gentleman was so cool, 160,000, wow!” she said.
Lee Da-hye wrote on the cards by hand in Chinese, something she has quietly practiced for two months. Her next goal is to learn zhuyin, the phonetic writing system commonly used in Taiwan, so she can write and type with it. “I started learning to write Chinese about two months ago, so I can write a little now, but it’s not very standard yet,” she said.
The expo featured 150 booths, and Lee Da-hye enjoyed browsing them herself. The growing popularity of trading cards, along with Lee Da-hye’s appearance, drew large crowds. The expo also displayed a limited-edition signed card of Shohei Ohtani, the Japanese baseball player.
