LayarHijau — Former Japanese adult film actress Yua Mikami appeared as a brand ambassador for an underwear brand on Monday (10/19). At the event, she said she once prayed to Yue Lao, the matchmaker god in Chinese folk belief, while in Taiwan. However, she said the “right person” has yet to appear.
Yua Mikami wore a white dress with a V-neckline. As for her date outfit, she said she would choose a short dress paired with a shawl to look more feminine.

Since joining a Taiwanese professional basketball cheerleading team in 2025, Yua Mikami has visited Taiwan frequently and experienced various aspects of the local culture. She often visits temples, including to pray to Yue Lao. Asked how it turned out, she answered with a laugh, “The right person hasn’t shown up yet! But maybe I prayed the wrong way, because what I asked for was success in my career.”
Yua Mikami said she gets along well with her teammates. “My teammates told me how to pray to Yue Lao, and that you have to be very specific,” she said. She feels differently. “I think the gods must already know! My ideal type is someone I find handsome, gentle, and considerate. I shouldn’t need to say much more, and the gods will understand and know what my ideal type is,” she said.
On the wins and losses of basketball games, Yua Mikami was level-headed. “Every game has a winner and a loser. Of course I want to win, but I think the process matters too!” she said. Still, she admitted to having a personal wish for her team to win the championship.
She also hopes to come to Taiwan more often. “Of course I hope to have more and more chances to come to Taiwan. My workday schedule has already been announced, so everyone has to come to the arena to see me!” she said.
