Instead of being sold to the public, the concert tickets are being handed out for free through a special selection process designed to reward “true fans.” On November 4 at 8 PM (local time), participants were required to complete a quiz of 50 questions on the Damai ticketing app—one of China’s leading ticket platforms. Every correct answer was worth 2 points, and only those who scored at least 80 points and ranked within the top 10,000 would qualify for the final ticket lottery. From there, only 5,000 lucky winners would be chosen at random to receive a ticket.
Billed as a strategy to beat ticket scalpers, the process took an ironic turn when Zhao Lusi herself failed the quiz. The actress shared a screenshot of her unsuccessful attempt on her Xiaohongshu account, attaching a short caption expressing her confusion: “?ber… no.” The message on the app read: “Uh-oh, that wasn’t enough! Answer more questions correctly to get a reservation slot.”
Fans couldn’t help but burst into laughter. One comment poked fun: “Somebody tell the organizer—Zhao Lusi couldn’t get tickets to Zhao Lusi’s concert.” Another joked, “If even she failed… what chance do we have?”
Despite the humor, the system has stirred mixed reactions. Some praised the quiz format as a refreshing and fair alternative to first-come-first-served sales, which are often dominated by scalpers. Others criticized the system for being prone to exploitation, pointing out that certain individuals were offering to “take the quiz for you” or selling answer sheets online for up to 1,000 yuan (around 150 USD or 2.2 million rupiah).
By November 4, more than 230,000 people had registered on Damai to try their luck, and the “Want to Go” count shot up to 345,000 once the quiz opened. All available slots were gone in less than half an hour.
Miss You Concert marks a significant step in Zhao Lusi’s musical journey. In October 2025, she released two new singles, Black Veil Bride and Don’t Wanna Know, produced by Grammy winner Brian Lee. The songs sparked debate over her vocal authenticity, with some accusing her of relying too much on post-production. Zhao, however, responded with a live singing session—proving her abilities without vocal filters.
